We started our perennial garden during the summer of 2021. Our intention was to transform our sunny yet barren front lawn into an ecologically friendly garden, section by section. We did the "lasagna method" of covering a small part of the lawn with cardboard. On top of the cardboard, we added compost, and then mulch. Where did I get my plants? I bought seeds online and germinated them myself. I bought plants from local nurseries and garden stores. I also got free plants from neighbors and friends.
